Daniel Spiegelberg performs on three continents, collaborating with numerous famed artists.

A former professor at the HEM Geneva and Lausanne  Conservatories, he teaches master-classes and chamber music in Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Poland and is also invited as a jury member in international competitions.

Daniel Spiegelberg had recorded a large amount of compositions, including Mozart and Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Alkan, Tchaïkovsky, Saint-Saëns, Brahms and Bartok,  Frank Martin (his complete piano solo works), Messiaen (Quatuor pour la fin du Temps) and the Swiss composers Henri Gagnebin, EmileRobert Blanchet, William Blank, Fabio Maffei and Michel Cardinaux.

After gaining an excellence award at the Strasbourg conservatory (1955) he studied in Paris as a Jean Doyen and a Marguerite Long pupil, earning his musical degree in 1958. After a long interruption due to his military service during the Algeria war, he went on improving his skills with Carl Seemann, Ventsislav Yankoff and, for chamber music, with Sandor Vegh. In the Geneva piano class of Louis Hiltbrand, he won unanimously a virtuosity first prize with distinction and the special prize in homage to Ignacy Paderewski (1965).
